You're right on ‘The Walk', Dubai's buzzing promenade with a huge variety of restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment, and you can catch some rays at the infinity-edged swimming pool on the third floor or on the golden sands of Jumeirah Beach just across the road. For a more exclusive beach experience, hop on the shuttle across to sister hotel JA Beach Hotel where you'll get complimentary access to their private beach.

Head over to Mauritius for the final week of your trip. Long Beach has that incredible view of the Indian Ocean typical of many luxury resorts on the island, but it's the quirky architecture and cool atmosphere that provide its unique look and feel.
